About Oi Brewing Co.

In 1976, a twenty-year-old Dr. Subash Cipy founded a nano venture called Cipy Polyurethanes, which grew into a 200-crore floor coatings company. In 2001, after visiting a craft brewery in Germany, Dr. Cipy's first stint with craft beers began. He then established Oi Brewing Company in 2021, India's first organic & sustainable brewery. It has the highest production capacity among microbreweries. Oi makes craft beers which appeal to a diverse audience base. The beer line up is a balance between familiar beer styles done consistently well and some unconventional experimental styles that aid dscovery and differentiation in the eyes of the consumers. Our long-term goal is to be India’s first organic brewing brand. For us, “Oi” is not only a welcoming expression that commands attention, it is also synonymous with “Organic Ingredients”

At Oi Brewery, we're on a mission to be fully sustainable, and here's how we're doing it:

Powered by the Sun: ☀ We generate 40% of our energy from solar panels and are working towards being 100% solar-reliant.

Water Warriors: 💧 We've reused over 4 million litres of water, which is then used to nourish our backyard garden.

Plastic Positive: ♻ We are India’s first Plastic Positive craft brewery, meaning we remove more plastic from the environment than we generate.

Carbon Neutral: 💨 We're also India’s first Carbon Neutral craft brewery, with all our emissions audited and accounted for.

Local & Organic: 🌾 We partner with local farmers to grow our organic ingredients, reducing our carbon footprint and supporting our community.

We do not compromise in any way with our raw materials, even if it results in a higher production cost of our beers.
Our state-of-the-art brewery in Shirwal is designed for producing over 5,00,000 litres of beer. That leaves our our experienced brewing staff, plenty of room for variations and experiments- yet promising a consistency that few breweries can boast of.
